It comprises approximately 3 hours per week for 6 weeks. The online content covers the latest professional CPTED methods and knowledge and the use of the International CPTED standard ISO:22341:2021.

 

This Certified Online CPTED training is for professionals wishing to be up to date in their use of CPTED. Participants are awarded an individual Certificate of CPTED Training on successful completion. The training arrangement is flexible to enable professionals to fit it around their workloads.

 

The course content comprises short videos and exercises  and the content aligns with the CPTED Units of Competency of the International CPTED Association, which makes it easy for professionals wishing to apply  for international CPTED registration as a CPTED Pracitioner or CPTED Professional.

 

This online CPTED training is intended for:

• Community safety officers, rangers and managers
• Police
• Security managers
• CPTED professionals requiring skills update for recent major amendments to CPTED best practice

Each certified online CPTED training is comprised of 3 hours online weekly study of exercises and training videos and includes:

 

• Optional weekly live Zoom Q&A with a CPTED expert to answer any CPTED questions
  
• Ongoing support via CPTED forum and email
  
• CPTED basics including the 10 CPTED principles
• Understanding and undertaking basic CPTED audits
• Creating and using Crime Risk Assessments using the Crime Risk Matrix
  
• CPTED process according to ISO:22341:2021
• CPTED return on investment of CPTED interventions
  
• Practical real world CPTED exercise

 

PLUS several important CPTED updates:

• New findings about lighting for crime prevention
• New section on working in multi-disciplinary teams
• A method for choosing best social CPTED methods of crime prevention (particularly relevant for managing anti-social behaviour)
  
• New information on using green spaces to reduce crime
• Updated and revised section on identifying crime risks
• New revised section on return on investment of CPTED interventions
